Netflix recently announced that it will release over 70 original movies in 2021. That means you’ll be able to watch a new movie on Netflix every week this year. The streaming service also made several other announcements, including the best ISP (internet service provider) for streaming Netflix, the most-watched movies and TV shows on Netflix in 2020, and more. Here’s everything you need to know about the announcements Netflix made.
A New Netflix Movie Every Week
Some of the 70+ original movies coming to the streaming service this year include ‘Red Notice’ starring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot and ‘Don’t Look Up,’ starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence.
There are also other big stars coming to Netflix this year, including Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Garner, Dave Bautista, Jake Gyllenhaal, and more. Halle Berry is also making her directorial debut with the movie ‘Bruised.’
If you’re a fan of high school romance films, you’re only a few weeks away from being able to watch the final installments of ‘To All the Boys’ and ‘The Kissing Booth.’ Netflix’s list is also expected to grow over the months as the streaming service acquires more productions from film festivals and other sources.
Netflix Reveals the Best ISP for Streaming
Netflix recently updated its speed index report that ranks the best ISPs for streaming in the US. The report says that the best ISPs for streaming videos this year are Comcast, Cox, Mediacom, Optimum, Spectrum, Suddenlink, and Verizon FiOS.
Netflix updated its speed index report after the company upgraded its encoding scheme to deliver high-quality videos at smaller file sizes. That means you can now enjoy faster Netflix streaming speeds without a loss of video quality.
