What Channels Do You Get With Hulu Live TV?
You can currently get 69 TV channels with a Hulu + Live TV subscription. You can check which channels are available in your area on Hulu’s website. Hulu Live TV channels have a broad range, from sports, news, movies, family and kids, to entertainment and lifestyle. You can also get add-on channels by paying an extra fee.
News Channels
You can watch news stories as they unfold with CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and more. There are also affiliate TV stations that have local news. For round-the-clock financial news, there’s Fox Business and Cheddar Business.
Entertainment & Lifestyle Channels
There are a variety of entertainment and lifestyle channels on Hulu Live to choose from. You can learn new things by watching Animal Planet, the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, and more.
Lifestyle channels like the Food Network, HGTV, and the Travel Channel cater to your different hobbies and interests. You can also get popular entertainment channels like FX, TBS, TruTV, and more.
Family and Kids Channels
For wholesome, family-friendly channels, Hulu Live has Boomerang, Cartoon Network, the Disney Channel, and more. You can make any night a movie night with channels like Lifetime, FX Movie Channel, and TCM.
Add-on Channels
Hulu + Live TV has three add-on options for even more channels. Their Premium Network add-on allows you to add HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, and STARZ. The Entertainment Add-on gives you access to American Heroes Channel, CNBC World, Cooking Channel, Destination America, Discovery Family, Discovery Life, DIY Network, FYI, LMN, and Science. The Español Add-on lets you watch CNN en Español, Discovery en Español, Discovery Familia, ESPN Deportes, History Channel en Español, and Universo.
Hulu Live Sports
Hulu Live gives you access to popular live sports channels, regional sports channels, and local sports channels. College sports channels and other specialty channels are also available, though limited in coverage.
You can watch sports channels, including ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC, TBS, TNT, and more. These channels provide coverage of most popular live sports leagues such as the NFL, NBA, MBL, NHL, and more. Hulu Live also provides fairly good coverage for specialty college and basketball games.
For other sports channels that cover soccer, golf, and international sports, Hulu’s offering is somewhat limited. It only covers three channels: ESPNEWS, Golf Channel, and Olympic Channel.
How Much Is Hulu Live?
Live TV costs $53.99 a month, while Hulu Live + TV costs $54.99, and you can pay $60.99 for the ad-free version. Unlike a Hulu + Live TV plan, a Live-TV-only plan will not give you access to the Hulu streaming library.
With Hulu (No Ads) + Live TV, you can enjoy ad-free streaming, but you will still see ads on additional live or on-demand content. An ad-free plan also lets you download up to 25 titles on five supported devices for watching offline within 30 days.
Access to premium channels depends on what kind of channel you are adding. STARZ will cost you an extra $8.99 a month, Cinemax is $9.99, Showtime is $10.99, and HBO is $14.99.
The Entertainment Add-on gives you access to additional news, entertainment and lifestyle channels for $7.99 a month. The Español Add-on lets you watch Spanish-language programming at $4.99 per month. However, Premium Networks, the Entertainment add-on, and the Español add-on are not available for Live-TV-only plans.
Hulu’s Enhanced Cloud DVR add-on gives you 200 hours of DVR cloud storage instead of the usual 50 hours. You can also skip through commercial breaks, enjoy unlimited simultaneous recordings, and play your recordings anytime and anywhere on supported devices.
The Unlimited Screens add-on lets you watch on any number of screens from home. For mobile viewing, access is limited to three screens only.
Can You Rent Movies on Hulu?
You cannot rent movies on Hulu. However, it does have a streaming library with thousands of TV shows and movies from Hulu originals to exclusive movies, newly released or classic titles.
